Brookland, AR — (BrooklandNews.com) — June 5, 2025 — The Brookland School District will soon begin its hunt for a new superintendent to lead the district.

The district’s website confirmed that a special school board meeting will be held on June 5 at 5 p.m. However, the agenda indicates that the board will first call roll and then proceed to an executive session for a “superintendent interview.” Following the 5 p.m. meeting, there will be a second meeting at 7 p.m. for another interview, as per the agenda.

In May, the district announced that Brett Bunch, current superintendent of BPS, would exit his role and take on the superintendent position at the Lonoke School District.
