JONESBORO, AR — (BrooklandNews.com) — July 28, 2025 — The Craighead County Jonesboro Public Library will host Arkansas native and American Idol finalist Marybeth Byrd for a free, family-friendly concert this fall.
The performance is scheduled for Thursday, Sept. 18 at 6 p.m. on the library’s front lawn, according to a post from the library’s Facebook page. Seating will be limited, and attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets.
Byrd, a singer from Armorel, Arkansas, gained national attention as a top 10 finalist on Season 21 of ABC’s “American Idol.” She performs across multiple genres, including country, Christian and pop.
In addition to live music, the event will feature free frozen custard provided by Andy’s Frozen Custard. The library described the evening as a “family-friendly community event” and invited residents of all ages to take part in what it called a celebration of “your library and your story.”
The concert is sponsored by the First Horizon Foundation, Farmers & Merchants Bank, Friends of the Craighead County Jonesboro Public Library, and St. Bernards Healthcare & Medical Group.
The event is part of the library’s ongoing community programming efforts and reflects a broader push to host local talent and offer accessible cultural events to the public.
