WASHINGTON — (BrooklandNews.com) — May 2, 2025 — President Donald Trump’s National Security Advisor Mike Waltz to exit role.
The Associated Press reported Thursday that Waltz would be exiting in the first major shakeup of Trump’s second administration. Later reporting suggested that Waltz would be removed from his National Security position and would be nominated as United Nations Ambassador.
It comes after Waltz faced much scrutiny following him accidentally adding Jeffrey Goldberg, Editor In-Chief of The Atlantic, to a Signal group chat, an encrypted messaging app. The chat was used to discuss a military operation on the Houthis in Yemen.
This is a developing story.
