Craighead County, AR – (BrooklandNews.com) – Apr. 9, 2025 – The Craighead County Clerk’s office has announced plans to launch a voter address verification program.

During odd-numbered years the Craighead County Clerk’s Office conducts voter address verification under the National Voter Registration Act and the Help America Vote Act. This is done to confirm that the information you last registered with is correct and up-to-date.

There will be two types of cards sent to registered voters, one is blue, while the other is yellow, according to a news release from the county clerk.

Those who receive a blue card are people who did not vote in the last federal election cycle, and is to confirm your address. Once completed you must send it back to the Craighead County Clerk’s Office.

If you receive a yellow card, this is because you didn’t respond to a past letter from the clerks office or have not voted in the last two federal election cycles. Receiving this card also means you have been removed from the active voter list, and you must return the completed card. Return postage has already been paid.

The release also said, “If you receive either of these cards, it is extremely important for you to complete the card and return it to the clerk’s office as soon as possible.”
