Politicians, the media and others are constantly mentioning Project 2025. But what is it and what does it do?

Project 2025 is a “presidential transition project” that would allow the executive branch of government to have more power and re-write how things work.

Inside the 922 page-document titled “Mandate for Leadership the Conservative Promise”, it suggest a reversal to the allowance of abortion medication, getting rid of diversity in the government, specifically the pentagon, classifying thousands of federal employees as political appointees.

The plan also suggest a downsize of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, or NOAA.

The agenda also calls for the Department of Homeland Security to be dismantled and combined with others, or moved under the supervision of other departments.

It claims that terms such as “sexual orientation and gender identity,” “diversity equity and inclusion” and “any other term used to deprive Americans of their First Amendment rights out of every federal rule,” shall be removed.

The 922 page document, written by the Heritage Foundation is largely connected to some of Donald Trump’s allies. Although, he claims, “I know nothing about Project 2025. I have not seen it, have no idea who is in charge of it…”

They claim this is the way to “an effective conservative Administration.”

President Biden and the Democratic Party have continued to use this as a way to try and gain voters.
