BROOKLAND, AR — (BrooklandNews.com) — Apr. 28, 2026 — After late-night storms moved through the area Monday, a second round of severe weather is expected Tuesday across Northeast Arkansas.

The National Weather Service in Memphis has placed Brookland under a Level 2 out of 5 risk for severe weather, indicating scattered storms are likely, with some capable of becoming intense but generally short-lived and not widespread.

Storms are expected to move into Northeast Arkansas around 2 p.m. and continue through the evening hours.

Forecasters say there is a low tornado threat. However, if a tornado develops — which atmospheric conditions could support — it may reach up to EF-2 strength.

Large hail is also a concern, with the potential for stones up to 2 inches in diameter.
