BROOKLAND, AR — (BrooklandNews.com) — July 24, 2025 — The City of Brookland’s animal control is warning that its shelter is close to capacity.
In a post on its Facebook, it said, “We are close to our kennel capacity, and we’re actively seeking rescue partners to help us place dogs in need. Our goal is to avoid euthanasia whenever possible, but we can’t do it without help! ”
The post noted that those with a local rescue group to comment in hopes of taking the load off the shelter. Those wanting to adopt can contact the Brookland Animal Control for further details.
