JONESBORO, AR — (BrooklandNews.com) — July 10, 2025 — A Jonesboro father and daughter are facing felony drug charges following a raid that uncovered large amounts of narcotics in their apartment. A woman connected to the case was also charged with drug trafficking and obstruction of governmental operations.

According to the affidavit, the investigation began in April 2025 when agents identified Dante Dewayne Haggins, also known as “Tay,” as a significant source of cocaine and methamphetamine. Controlled drug buys were made from Haggins in the 9900 block of Links Street. Investigators later obtained arrest and search warrants for the residence.

On July 8, 2025, agents conducted surveillance on the residence. They reportedly saw two females leave and return multiple times. Haggins and one of the women later left in separate vehicles and were stopped near the intersection of Race Street and Caraway Road. Haggins was taken into custody and had $715 in cash, according to the affidavit. The woman with him, identified as Kannessha Michelle Wilson, was arrested and charged with drug trafficking and obstruction of governmental operations.

While executing the search warrant, agents reportedly found several drugs in the kitchen and other areas of the apartment. According to the affidavit, the following items were seized:

  • 230 grams of cocaine
  • 901.2 grams of psychedelic mushrooms
  • 2,082.2 grams of marijuana
  • Three ecstasy pills
  • 65 alprazolam pills
  • One oxycodone pill
  • One hydrocodone pill
  • One unknown capsule
  • One THC gummy
  • Three pre-rolled marijuana blunts

Agents also located digital scales, baggies, a vacuum sealer, marijuana grinders, and a large water bong. According to the affidavit, two small children were also believed to be inside the residence at the time of the search.

Ashante Haggins was found in a rear bedroom and identified as Dante Haggins’ daughter. She was read her rights and requested an attorney. During a separate interview, Dante Haggins allegedly admitted that all the narcotics belonged to him.

Ashante Haggins was given a $10,000 bond and, along with both her father and his partner, appears to have bonded out of the Craighead County Detention Center.

Wilson did not appear in court on Wednesday.
