JONESBORO, Ar — (BrooklandNews.com) — May 4, 2025 — Saturday held the May the 4th Be With You Music Festival.
The event, held at Craighead Forrest Park, had two bands play with a food truck and classic trucks displayed to raise money for Lake City tornado victims.

Lake City, located 20 minutes from Jonesboro, was struck by an EF-3 tornado on April 2. As the community is continuing to rebuild.
“If we can do something like this, get our band out there on a beautiful day, on a special day for a lot of people, and do it for a good cause like trying to help people out — that’s just what it’s all about,” said Doug Butler, singer and rhythm guitarist.

“Community — that’s number one in Northeast Arkansas,” added bassist and backup vocalist Joseph Lowery. “This is a state where we can all come together and support each other, regardless of anything.”
Lowery reflects on the personal meaning of performing: “I’ve not been a musician like this for longer than four years, maybe so this is just its number one. It’s fun for me in a selfish way. I love being out there and performing. I love music, but that’s that’s what it comes down to for us is music, I mean music is a language to everyone.”
It’s unclear how much money has been raised yet. Butler said it wouldn’t be until after the event, as there are covered buckets for attendees to donate as they wish.
