Jonesboro, AR — (BrooklandNews.com) — Apr. 16, 2025 —Two Jonesboro City Councilmen have announced plans to hold a town hall meeting to hear from residents and discuss ongoing city matters.
Ward 6 Councilmen David McLain and Dr. Anthony Coleman revealed earlier this month that they will co-host a town hall to engage with the community about key issues and future plans for the city.
The event is open to all Jonesboro residents, not just those in Ward 6. It will take place on Thursday, April 17, at the Allen Park Community Center, located at 3609 Race St. The town hall is scheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m.
This local event comes amid a tense political climate nationally, where several congressional town halls have turned confrontational, marked by backlash and shouting matches.
