Brookland, AR — The City of Brookland held their 23rd annual Christmas parade on Sunday.
From early model trucks, to radio stations, to politicians and much more as many from Northeast Arkansas showed up and showed out with their vehicles and floats in the parade. The theme of the parade was “Santa’s Toyland”
The parade began on Highway 49 B and made a loop back to School St, as hundreds lined the streets of Brookland to watch.
Children exclaimed in excitement as the parade passed, and it ended in a sighting of Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus.

The Brookland High School JROTC Program proudly marched in the parade. However, The Roar was not present, and no official reason was provided for their absence.
The City of Brookland is also holding their annual christmas yard decorations competition. Judges will drive around the City of Brookland on December 10th and decide a first, second and third place winners. Prizes include $100 for first place, $75 for second place, $50 for third place and winners will be placed in their yards throughout the holiday season.
