Washington — A new document, obtained by the New York Times, furthers claims that Matt Gaetz paid underage woman for sex.

Matt Gaetz was nominated for Attorney General by President-elect Donald Trump and has been under heavy questioning as to his past and qualifications for the job.

The new document was prepared by federal prosecutors for a case in which the Justice Department declined to charge Matt Gaetz with a crime.

Obtained by The New York Times

The diagram displays a number of payments made to Gaetz’s friends, associates and women who had drug-fueled sex parties between 2017 and 2020, according to testimony given to federal and congressional investigators.

Testimony by both investigations also says that these payments were made during parties, and one was made to a 17-year-old girl who Gaetz allegedly had sex with.

Most of the payments are have said to have been sent through Venmo, an application used to send money directly to others. While The New York Times has reported payments were also made through Cash App and Apple Pay, but Brookland News has been unable to independently confirm the information.

“This purposeful leaking of classified investigative materials is the sort of politicized D.O.J. weaponization that Matt Gaetz will end. The Justice Department investigated Gaetz for years, failed to find a crime and are now leaking material with false information to smear the next attorney general,”Steven Cheung, the communications director for Mr. Trump told The New York Times.

Cheung also claimed the document was classified, while the document had no classification markings.

Matt Gaetz served as a representative in the House of Representatives, representing Florida, until last week when he resigned. He suggested he would often be absent, alluding to the fact that he was nominated for Attorney General under the Trump administration.

Since his resignation, many republican and democratic representatives have called for the release of the house ethics report on the investigation they conducted. Which they have decided not to release at this time.

Payments on the diagram were not only made by Gaetz, but by Joel Greenberg who was arrested in 2022.

Greenberg, a friend of Gaetz, pleaded guilty to charges including identity theft, stalking, wire fraud and conspiracy to bribe a public official. Prosecutors said he paid at least one girl to have sex with him and other men.

The document being obtained raises a number of other questions. The question as to if Gaetz will be confirmed by the Senate also continues to loom.
