Palm Beach, FL — Court documents have revealed a letter written by Ryan Wesley Routh, the man who appeared to have been trying to assassinate Donald Trump.

The message was found in a box left at a friend’s house, and was addressed to “The World.”

“This was an assassination attempt on Donald Trump but I failed you. I tried my best and gave it all the gumption I could muster,” Mr. Routh wrote.

Routh attempted to align himself with the sixth hole, as Trump played golf at his Palm Beach course, in hopes to kill Fmr. President Donald Trump.

His plan failed as a Secret Service agent discovered a weapon, known to be an SKS assault rifle, and shot at the suspect.

Routh would then escape police by a vehicle before being caught by a neighboring county law enforcement agency.

The letter went on to say, “He [the former President] ended relations with Iran like a child and now the Middle East has unraveled.”

Currently, Routh is being charged with possessing a firearm as a felon, and possession of a firearm with an obliterated serial number.
