Washington– In recent weeks, President Biden has faced question over his age and cognitive abilities, following a poor debate performance. President Biden held a rare hour-long press conference.

117 days away from the election, President Biden held a press conference taking question from 10 reporters about NATO, age and Vice President Kamala Harris.

“I think I’m the most qualified person to run for president,” President Biden said. Insisting even though he’s eighty-one he’s healthy and can do the job of President of the United States for four more years.

Biden continuously defended himself on questions about his age and cognitive abilities, as he’ll be eighty-five by the end of his second term, if he wins the election.

The big story in past weeks has been Biden’s cognitive capabilities, and those came into question during the conference when multiple fumbles with words and names.

One of the first questions revolved around Vice President Kamala Harris’ ability to serve as president, when Pres. Biden answered he misspoke and called the Vice President, “Vice President Trump…”

Biden responded in a post on X. “By the way: Yes, I know the difference,” “One’s a prosecutor, and the other’s a felon.” 

Multiple times, Biden would begin a sentence before abruptly ending it by saying, “anyways.” Brookland News found eleven times during the one-hour-long press conference that it occurred.

President Biden continued to downplay the question as to if he would take a cognitive test saying that he’s taken three “significant and intense neurological exams,” and that if his doctor expressed concern, he would take one everyday.

Hours before the conference, Joe Biden welcomed Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy by referring to him as Vladimir Putin, the Russian President.

While the press’ questions did not only concern his age and mental health, but rather the North Atlantic Treaty Organization, popularly known as NATO.

Biden continuing to defend Ukraine and attempting to do his best of assisting the country and offering advice during the summit celebrating 75 years of NATO.

All of this comes as members of the Democratic party in Congress continue to announce that they would like a new candidate in the race.
