Jonesboro, AR– As Summer has made its way around once again, heat safety is key to keeping safe.

The National Weather Service says that if your in the sun for a long period of time you could have a heat stroke or experience heat exhaustion.

Experts say that the best way to avoid that is by staying inside when at all possible, drinking plenty of water and using preventative measures when outside (such as sunblock).

That National Weather Service issues warning and advisories when temperatures rises. Now, Craighead county has a Heat Advisory in-place.

Stay safe this Summer!
