An update on the Jonesboro Police Officer that was arrested for a domestic violence situation was fired on Friday. Craighead County Deputies were dispatched to a home in Bono on April 3rd, 2024 for a possible domestic disturbance.
Upon arrival they found former patorlemen Alexis Burns on the front porch, and away was Sydney Smith, in which there was blood located on Smith’s right side which Burns claimed was hers.
Both were detained, Smith had requested an ambulance stating that Burns had slammed her head into the floor, and that her head was in pain.
The fight all began when Smith told Burns she was moving out.
“Ms. Burns then grabbed a knife and told Ms. Smith she was going downstairs to cut up her stuff,” the report stated.

The infamous $19,000 lectern is back in the news
as the state’s Legislative Joint Auditing Committee has approved an audit into the purchase of a $19,000- thousand dollars lectern made by the office of Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders. It will be released in 7-days
The lectern came into the news after it was purchased with a state credit card, and then reimbursed by the Republican Party of Arkansas, and the governor calls it an accounting error.
