Brookland, AR– Have you been seeing those poles placed on streets with a solar panel and a camera, well that’s a traffic docks, as Mayor Kenneth Jones calls it.

Unless you’re a criminal you shouldn’t have a worry about them. The docks take not of your license plate number, and if stolen or something else, the docs can connect nationaly to other states if the vehicle was stolen in another state.

Allowing for law enforcement to catch criminals even if the crime was committed in another state.

For speeders, the camera do not track speed, and they can’t write tickets if they saw you speeding, due to an Arkansas law prohibiting that.

Mayor Jones explained that someone from Florida, that has commited a crime there, was spotted on the cameras’ here in Brookland, and police were able to arrest the suspect.
