BROOKLAND, AR — (BrooklandNews.com) — Mar. 3, 2026 — Hallie Shoffner won the Democratic nomination for U.S. Senate in Arkansas’ March 3 primary, defeating Lewisville Mayor Ethan Dunbar and advancing to a November matchup with Republican Sen. Tom Cotton.

Shoffner, a Newport farmer and business owner, has not previously held public office.

Cotton secured the Republican nomination with 201,610 votes, or 82.1 percent, with an estimated 89.5 percent of ballots counted. Micah Ashby received 22,441 votes, or 9.1 percent, and Jeb Little received 21,511 votes, or 8.8 percent.

The general election is scheduled for Nov. 3.
