Power was restored to residents soon after 8 p.m., according to Craighead Electric’s outage map and citizens who experienced the outage.

BROOKLAND, AR — (BrooklandNews.com) — Dec. 26, 2025 — Some residents of Brookland are experiencing a power outage, according to Craighead Electric.
The utility’s outage map shows 180 affected customers. Another outage is reported in the Brookland Hills subdivision, affecting five homes; it is unclear if the two outages are related.
Residents told Brookland News the outage began shortly after 7 p.m. The cause of the outage is currently unknown.
