WASHINGTON — (BrooklandNews.com) — Dec. 16, 2025 — President Donald Trump announced Tuesday on Truth Social that he will address the nation on Wednesday at 8 p.m. CT.
The post states, “I look forward to ‘seeing’ you then. It has been a great year for our Country, and THE BEST IS YET TO COME!”
Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt said the speech would focus on Trump’s accomplishments and the future of the executive branch.
The address comes as Trump has repeatedly stated that if he’s not up for election, Republicans will lose, as the 2026 midterms approach. “Trump wasn’t on the ballot, and shutdowns were the two reasons republicans lost the election tonight,” Trump said after tough losses to democrats in the 2025 election.
President Trump also recently delivered a speech in Pennsylvania, highlighting his achievements on the economy. Also calling affordability a “hoax.” “The word ‘affordability’ is a con job by the Democrats.” Often blaming inflation on the Biden administration, “I inherited the worst inflation in history,” Trump said during a recent Cabinet meeting. “There was no affordability. Nobody could afford anything. The prices were massively high.”
