CRAIGHEAD COUNTY, AR — (BrooklandNews.com) — Sept. 15, 2025 — The Brookland Fire Protection District (BFPD) battled a late-night field fire.
In a post on social media, the department said they were dispatched to County Road 910, outside of Brookland, for a field fire.
The post says it was unattended, and “due to the size of fire and proximity to fuel tanks, Arkansas Forestry was notified and dispatched to the location.”
BFPD says, “Please remember, if you’re going to burn a field off to have someone there in case things get out of hand.”
The fire was contained and put out. BN will monitor this story.
