Little Rock, AR — (BrooklandNews.com) — June 11, 2025 — The Arkansas Department of Finance and Administration (DFA) announced that over one million Arkansans have a Real-ID.
A release from DFA says it reached one million days ago but also said that more than 331,600 Real-IDs have been issued since January 1, 2025.
“Arkansans have been well-prepared and patient as we’ve issued more than 331,600 REAL IDs since January 1,” DFA Secretary Jim Hudson said. “Appointments are available for those in need of a REAL ID, saving significant time and effort. I’m grateful to our Revenue Office employees for working after hours the past few months to ensure every customer was served. We remain committed to providing a great Revenue Office experience at offices across the state.”
The release said Arkansas is one of the few states that issues a Real-ID at the time of the DMV visit.
On May 7, 2025, all travelers or citizens going on a domestic flight or to certain federal buildings began being required to have a Real ID or a passport to enter.
