Brookland, AR — In a Facebook post by Haag Brown Commercial Real Estate, it announces a large project Brookland Public Schools will soon take on.
The post states that the district acquired 103 acres beside Brookland Hills, from long-time resident Tony Elmore.

“The acquisition of this new property for the Brookland School District will allow us to better serve our school and our community. With our growth and the vision of our school board we will be able to continue to provide an exceptional education and job future for our students,” Brett Bunch, Brookland School District Superintendent said.
The post noted how vital the new building will be for the City of Brookland.
BrooklandMayor Kenneth Jones emphasized the importance of this expansion, stating, “Brookland School is a vital part of the City of Brookland’s future.”
The project’s development will be led by Nabholz Construction, as the initial phase of development will focus on constructing a state-of-the-art intermediate school.
Jeff Armstrong with Haag Brown, who oversaw the seeking of properties said, “There were several significant hurdles to overcome—annexing and zoning, traffic considerations, infrastructure capabilities, and survey discrepancies, just to name a few.”
Armstrong went on to say, “But through collaboration with the city and the determination of the school board, we successfully navigated these challenges to make this expansion a reality.”
This project has been in the plans for a number of months, and this will mark the official beginning of an expansion of Brookland Public Schools.
