Jonesboro, AR– In Downtown Jonesboro thousands come out to celebrate their pride.
As June has rolled around it’s come time for NEA Progress to hold their annual Pride Festival.
Venders from across the State of Arkansas lined up down Main St. to support the LGBTQIA+ community.
DeAundra Pierce, with the Human Rights Campaign spoke about venders supporting the community, “It means alot because you want them to see you out here to support them, and be out here in the action.”
As the festival kicked off some venders prioritized the experience of the event.
Another vender, Karen Mouser, Co-Owner of Crate Escape Jonesboro says, “we have a small business that we love ad just letting the other people know, and we want everyone to have a wonderful pride experience. We know it’s so important to so many people,” Mouser continued, “they look forward to it. It a time of community and togetherness. Where you get to see friends and new people.”
The festival, beginning late after a rain delay will continue until 11 p. m. tonight as events are lined up.
