Jonesboro, AR– Fire broke out at the Southwind Heights an independent living facility in Jonesboro that is said to be caused by a dryer.
The Jonesboro Fire Department responded soon after the fire broke out after 3 p. m. on Tuesday.
There have been no reported injuries.
A resident tells Brookland News she was in a meeting on the first floor when the alarms began to go off, she explains it as there being “no panic.”
The source explains that a dryer caught fire with a load of towels.
She tells us that there had been a challenge to get enough chairs outside for residents to be seated in.
The resident also told us “it’s caused some trauma for residents that are frail.”
