Jonesboro, AR- Multiple workers were trapped after part of a trench wall collapsed in late December, OSHA has released a report on what went wrong after investigating.

According to a Jonesboro police report, 30-year-old Austin Neth of Walnut Ridge died when the trench collapsed. Matt Buckley, 39, of Maynard, suffered injuries and was in the ICU at NEA Baptist hospital.

Crews were building a trench in the 4700 block of E. Johnson Avenue when the wall collapsed on top of 2 workers.

OSHA has fined the company $218,759.00

Matt Buckley was saved around 3 p. m. Later, Austin Neth of Walnut Ridge’s body was recovered.

The report said that both employees were employed at SDT Solutions.
