Brookland, AR– What may have looked like a hazy summer day, was actually smoke in the air from Canadian wildfires.

Beggining in April, Canadian wildfires broke, making a very early season begin, throughout that time it travveling to North American, hitting the Northeast.

That weather pattern changing, now it’s back. Bringing the air all the way to Arkansas.

Leaving air quality index or AQI levels at nearly 200, in some areas. It only goes to 500.

Experts say if you are one struggling with respiratory issues, or are sensitive to air like this, they say to wear an N95 mask, as a normal surgical mask is said to be not effective.

Here in Arkansas, AQI levels at 79 at a moderate level.
