Jonesboro, AR– Smiles are left behind following Freedom Fest 2023, held at the Southside Softball Complex.
Americans came out to Southside Softball Complex to enjoy fireworks, food, and spend time with family and friends.
Tamaya Vickers said “I love fireworks because their so beautiful and light,” she continued, “because I love fireworks.”
Vickers told Brookland News she’s super excited.
Ebony Cherry said “I’m excited to see it [Freedom Fest] it’ll be my first one.”
Rain and wind was moving through the area during the start time, which led to a delay for just a few minutes, then all was well.
Matched up to fireworks, music played on all Jonesboro Radio Group stations as people listened.
Cherry says “It’s definitely a blessing to live in the land of the free. You know we don’t have to fight for things certain countries do, so I definitely feel blessed.”
A Jonesboro Radio Group Station Host said the last time he remembers a delay was back when the event was held at the fairgrounds.
The event continues year by year, see you next year.
