Brookland,AR- Near the lunch hour on Thursday Brookland Schools was put under a “Soft Lockdown,” according to a press release from the school.
An announcment came over the intercom saying for all students to remain in classrooms.
Brett Bunch, Superintendent said in summary that their Command Center Director noticed some suspicious activity in the change of classes, he went on to say that security team, administration, teachers and students did amazing and everyone was in no harm from start to finish of the lockdown.
A teacher saying “better safe than sorry.”
A student telling me in summary I was scared as the principal rushed us into the cafeteria, also saying “a lot of kids were screaming.”
